Welcome to The SMC Journal. The sole purpose of this page is to document my journey in Forex. I have no ambition to be anything more than a journal about someone striving to improve themselves every single day.
My focus will be strictly on executing my edge, analyzing my mistakes, and dissecting my mindset. I want to win the psychological battle against impulse and train my mind to do what is difficult with unflinching discipline.
They say trading is 80% psychology and 20% strategy. That is exactly why I will dedicate 80% of my journal to that mental battleground.
However, to provide context, I must first outline the strategy I use. My approach to Smart Money Concepts rests on three fundamental pillars:
- Supply and Demand Zones: Identifying price levels where institutional participants have potentially placed their larger order blocks.
- Liquidity Hunts: Understanding that the market operates as a continuous auction fueled by liquidity, and my goal is to pinpoint where the largest liquidity pools are located.
- Market Structure and Intent: Aligning my entries with the higher-timeframe trend and executing only when intent is confirmed.
This journal is the cornerstone of my discipline.
